Terms of Service
Last updated: September 18, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of DoorAdmin's rental property management software, including our website and mobile applications (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Who can use the Service
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to create an account. If you use the Service on behalf of a business or property-owning entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
The Service has two kinds of accounts: landlord accounts, created by signing up directly, and tenant accounts, created when a landlord invites a tenant to their tenant portal. A landlord is responsible for the accuracy of the lease and property information they enter and for the tenants they invite.
Fees
DoorAdmin is free to use. There is no monthly fee and no per-unit charge. When a tenant pays rent online through the Service, DoorAdmin deducts a 1% fee from the payment before it reaches the landlord's connected account. We may change this fee structure in the future; if we do, we will post the updated pricing on our website before it takes effect.
Payments and Stripe
Online rent payments and payouts are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. By using online payments, you also agree to Stripe's Connected Account Agreement. DoorAdmin is not a bank, money transmitter, or party to any lease agreement between a landlord and tenant, and we are not responsible for a landlord's or tenant's compliance with landlord-tenant law.
Your content
You retain ownership of the property listings, lease documents, messages, and other content you upload to the Service ("Your Content"). You grant DoorAdmin a license to host, store, and display Your Content solely to operate the Service on your behalf. You are responsible for making sure Your Content is accurate and that you have the right to upload it.
Acceptable use
- Do not use the Service for any unlawful purpose, including violating fair housing or landlord-tenant law.
- Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to another organization's data.
- Do not upload malicious code or attempt to disrupt the Service.
- Do not use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications to tenants who are not part of your organization.
Termination
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use of the Service poses a risk to us or other users. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (such as fees already owed and limitation of liability) will survive.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. DoorAdmin is not a law firm, property manager, or financial advisor, and nothing in the Service is legal, tax, or financial advice. To the fullest extent permitted by law, DoorAdmin will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability for any claim will not exceed the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the Service.
